Why we built this site

Most dating app review sites are built for Western audiences — they rank eHarmony and Match.com based on US data, with no understanding of how apps actually perform in Mumbai vs Jaipur, or why Shaadi.com serves a completely different purpose than Hinge.

We're Indian users who spent months testing every major app across cities we actually live in. Every review, comparison, and city guide is based on real testing — not press releases or sponsored content. No app pays for placement or ranking on this site.

Our review methodology

Real profiles, real testing
We create genuine profiles on every app we review. No fake super-optimised profiles — real bios and photos to reflect what average users experience.

Minimum 30 days per app
We test every app for at least 30 days before publishing. First-week impressions are misleading — algorithms take weeks to calibrate to your profile.

Multiple Indian cities
An app that works in Bangalore's Koramangala may fail in Jaipur. We test in the cities we cover — our city guides reflect local user density, not global rankings.

India-specific criteria
We score apps on what matters to Indian users: Tier 2 city coverage, rupee pricing, community matching for matrimonial, safety for women in Indian contexts.

Affiliate links disclosed
We earn commissions when you sign up through our links. We disclose this on every page. Commissions never affect our rankings — apps that pay the most don't get better ratings.

Updated regularly
Dating apps change their features, pricing, and user base constantly. We update our reviews every quarter to reflect current conditions.

Our editorial principles

  • No paid rankings: No app has ever paid us for a higher rating. Rankings are based solely on testing and user experience.
  • Full affiliate disclosure: Every page that contains affiliate links says so clearly. We never hide commercial relationships.
  • India-first: We don't copy US or UK reviews. Every guide is written from an Indian user perspective with Indian city data.
  • Honest negatives: We list what's bad about every app — including apps we earn commissions from. If Tinder's free tier is deliberately crippled, we say so.
  • No sponsored reviews: We don't accept payment for reviews. Apps that reach out for paid coverage are declined.
